Unlocking Creativity at Home: A Parent's Guide (and Teachers too!)

Creativity is a necessary 21st century skill. Despite the necessity, schools face challenges to fully cultivate creativity; therefore, parents can play a vital role in fostering this skill. During this session attendees will explore three major topics: Dispelling Creativity Myths, Cultivating Creative Environments, and specific Guided Practice. Plan to walk away with a virtual toolbox of practical supports for high ability children grades K-8.

Parents and Advocates for Gifted Education (PAGE) Group Meetings
CAG is offering monthly PAGE Groups as an opportunity to support and encourage the development of gifted students through an understanding of their characteristics and needs, and by fostering appropriate educational opportunities for them at home, in school, and in the larger community. Upcoming PAGE sessions will focus on how parents, teachers, and others are helping each other with the purpose of providing appropriate educational and life experiences for gifted children.
The PAGE group meets online monthly via Zoom.

One of the most difficult challenges in education is consistently and appropriately meeting the needs of gifted students. The CAG Coordinators, Administrators, & Teachers (CAT) Resource Group is here to help you meet this challenge by facilitating a monthly meeting in which coordinators, administrators, and teachers can connect, share information, resources, and support.
