Welcome to the new school year!
CAG has an eventful year planned for
our members and we hope you will join us
at some of the upcoming events.
Board Meetings
All members are encouraged to attend the monthly CAG Board Meetings. Check the schedule and locations, and let us know if you can make it. The next one will be Wednesday, October 15, 6:30-8:30pm, in New Britain.
New England Conference on the
Gifted and Talented
Please join other CAG members at the 14th Annual NECGT. This year Massachusetts is the host and it will be at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield, MA, not far from Connecticut. This promises to be another excellent opportunity for educators and parents to learn more about meeting the needs of gifted children. No matter where you are in the process, there is something for you at this conference. Check out the NECGT website for more information and to register.
Minds in Motion events
The first Minds in Motion event of this school year will be Saturday, November 8 at the Tyl Middle school in Oakdale/Montville, in Southeastern Connecticut. The registration brochures were mailed to CAG members on September 26 and is now available online - click here. A fillable .pdf file of the registraton brochure is also available, which you can fill out online, print and mail in with your check - very easy!
There are many more events scheduled for 2009, so mark your calendars now!
CAG is pleased to announce the return of our Minds On Location program!
Minds on Location events take place at a variety of interesting locations around the state and are focused on educational explorations and experiences for gifted and high ability children. CAG board members organize these short weekend workshops at various arts, science and cultural institutions. These workshops are usually not programs available to the general public and are specially designed for our participants. Check out the Fall schedule now!
